What's wrong with the Rays' stadium
plan?

The Association was recently addressed by
John Burgess of Preserve our Wallets and Waterfront (POWW). That's the
group opposing the Rays' proposal to have our city sell publicly owned
land to benefit a privately owned entity. The plan involves landfilling
more of
our waterfront, to build a new stadium. The group claims this would have a serious impact on our environment, our
parkland, our downtown museums, theaters and restaurants, and traffic and parking
availability in the surrounding area and beyond.
